Plates of Goodness Cooking Class

The Plates of Goodness Cooking Class takes place in the village of Seenigama, around a 30 minute drive outside Galle. Here you will join in a shared cooking class run by the Foundation of Goodness. During the class you will learn about some traditional Sri Lankan cooking methods, and assist in the preparation of some dishes. You will then be able to enjoy your own creations for lunch.

The Foundation of Goodness is a not-for-profit organisation which is working towards improving the lives of rural people across Sri Lanka. They have been particularly instrumental in rebuilding communities and providing support after the devastating tsunami in 2004. All proceeds from the cooking class go towards the foundation, supporting the local community and the various projects they are working on. The cooking classes take place in the Foundation of Goodness Centre, so you may have some time during your visit to learn more about what the foundation does and interact with some of the local children.

Please note that this is a shared class, with a group size of between 2 - 25 people.
