Kep is famous throughout Cambodia for its beautiful coastline and fresh seafood, especially the local crab. Any visit to Kep should include a stop at the crab market and its collection of wooden waterfront restaurants to sample the local delicacy - crabs fried with the local Kampot pepper. The market is also a great place to stock up on Kampot pepper, a black pepper considered to be one of the world’s finest, an opportunity not to be missed by enthusiastic foodies. The market is just a short walk from our favourite hotel in Kep but is easily reached from most hotels in the coastal town.
