Elephant Nature Park

The Elephant Nature Park has been leading the way in terms of ethical elephant tourism in Thailand for decades. Located in the beautiful countryside just outside Chiang Mai, it provides a sanctuary for rescued elephants from across the country.

During your visit you will learn about the problems faced by elephants in Thailand and across Southeast Asia, and how the Elephant Nature Park is helping in the treatment and care of Thailand's dwindling elephant population. You will hear the stories of the resident rescued elephants as told by expert guides.

The Elephant Nature Park does not permit riding or any forced contact with the elephants. The focus here is on giving the elephants their much-deserved freedom and providing a safe environment for them to live on their own terms. Visitors can help to feed the elephants, walk with them down to the river, and observe them from a safe distance as they play, bathe, and roam freely.
