Ferry transfers between Jorhat and Majuli

Transfers between Jorhat and Majuli are exclusively taken on the basic and very ‘local’ public ferry. Conditions, especially those in the bathroom department, are very simple; seating is not guaranteed, and the service is likely to be busy not only with locals but also with their cattle and other livestock. The ferry transfer takes around an hour and will be extremely interesting and deeply memorable, but certainly not luxurious!
