Celebrate Holi in a rural palace

India’s festivals are a riot of noise, colour, and chaos. This is especially true of Holi, the spring festival, a celebration of colour and mischief. For the uninitiated, the experience of Holi can either be completely overwhelming (if diving straight into the middle of Indian city) or a little sterile (if enjoying within the compounds of a hotel). If you do happen to be travelling in India during the time of Holi, then where possible we aim to time itineraries such that the festival falls during your time in a rural homestay property, such as Chanoud, Shahpura, or Rohet. Here you can enjoy the celebrations in an atmosphere which is thoroughly authentic, but not too overpowering!
