East Bali Discovery by VW Safari

There is so much to see in Ubud but it is also a great base for exploring other parts of Bali. This tour in a classic VW safari vehicle offers a unique opportunity to see rice terraces, temples, volcanoes and some of the island's less visited beaches. The car is built to handle tough terrain meaning it can venture off the main roads to see a more authentic side of Bali. After leaving Ubud the first stop will be at Pura Kadan, a temple dedicated to three Balinese Gods. Afterwards you will stop at the north slope of Mount Agung, the highest mountain in Bali for some breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. You will then head through rice terraces before visiting Tirta Gangga, a former Royal Palace famed for its bathing pools. The final stop before lunch is at Mount Seraya which offers some of best views on the island - on a clear day you can see the neighbouring island of Lombok. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant and then you will head to the beaches of the East Coast including Candidasa. After some time to relax you will head back to your hotel.

For those not visiting Ubud this tour can also be arranged from southern beaches such as Sanur and Jimbaran.
