Ascend Taipei 101

From its completion in 2004 until 2010, the famous Taipei 101 tower was the tallest building in the world and until 2016 it had the fastest elevator. Take the elevator up to the 89th floor observatory and enjoy your birds-eye view of the capital.  At 382 metres above the ground, the indoor observatory gives you panoramic views and also has an interesting museum where you can learn about the design process and construction of Taipei 101. If weather conditions are good, you may be able to head up further by stairs to the 91st floor outdoor observatory, where you will get a good view of the spire. If not already included in your guided tour, it is strongly recommended to book tickets online well in advance as queues to head up the tower can be long.

Why not treat yourself on your return back down to eat with some delicious dumplings at Din Tai Fung restaurant at the foot of the tower?
