Visit the Tra Su Mangrove Forest

The Tra Su Mangrove Forest is a former plantation covering 850 hectares located around 25 km from Chau Doc, which was turned in to a wildlife reserve in 1983. There is a network of canals running through the flooded mangrove forest which provides a home for birds and waterlife. This ecological spot is the habitat for a variety of water birds (mostly storks), colonies of bats and other rare animals and bird species. Turtles, snakes, as well as other reptiles and freshwater fishes are also abundant in the canals.

Explore this lush landscape in a long tail boat, paddled by a local guide. Drift through the vibrant green waterways whilst you keep an eye out for many bird species and aquatic life. In the centre of the reserve is a 20m watch tower where you can enjoy a panorama of the vast greenery dotted with the white of storks below.
