Walk on Borneo's canopy walkways
Walk high up on Borneo's spectacular canopy walkways: The island of Borneo has some of the most impressive canopy walkways in the world which give visitors the experience of walking high up in the trees, seeing the fascinating wildlife that lives there and really getting a feel for life in the Bornean Rainforest.
There is the impressive 480m Mulu Skywalk, which takes you through the jungle to Mulu’s famous bat caves at a height of 25m.
Or visit Danum Valley and stay at the Borneo Rainforest Lodge where there is a stunning 300m canopy walkway, 26m high at its highest point, with regular octagonal observation platforms which allow you a chance to rest and soak in the spectacular surroundings.
If you are including Brunei on your tour of Borneo then don’t miss the Ulu Mutong Canopy Walk in the Ulu Temburong National Park, which has a 43m high viewing tower giving you a 360 degree view out over the jungle.
And if you are staying in Sepilok at the start of your tour of Sabah, don’t miss an opportunity to get an introduction to life in the rainforest by visiting the Rainforest Discovery Centre and seeing the surrounding jungle from their sturdy 347m canopy walkway.
Other canopy walkways in Borneo include the Sky Bridge in the Maliau Basin and the Poring Canopy Walk, an easy day trip if you’re staying in Kota Kinabalu.
