Kayaking on Tuul River

Kayaking is an exhilarating way to experience Mongolia’s wild natural landscapes, whilst keeping you active on your holiday. The wide Tuul River is shallow and obstacle-free, but is fairly fast flowing with plenty of twists and turns which makes for ideal conditions. The speed of the river will depend on the time of year and recent rainfall, but with average current speeds of 5-10 km per hour, even a novice paddler will cover a decent amount of ground. A typical day’s kayaking lasts around 4 hours, starting near the confluence of the Terelj River. At the half way point there is a picnic stop on the banks of the river, and the end point is close to the Chinggis Statue which can be climbed before returning to Ulaanbaatar.  All equipment is provided including top quality kayaks, lifejackets and dry bags to store all your personal equipment during the experience.
