Winter sports in Pyeongchang

Pyeongchang is synonymous with winter sports, home to arguably the best skiing and snow-boarding in Korea. Chosen as the host of the 2018 Winter Olympics, the area has been transformed from a domestic ski destination into a winter thrill retreat of international renown. Visit during the winter months and you will find excellent conditions for a range of winter sports. Avoid weekends and school holidays though, as this part of eastern Korea is extremely popular with locals!
