Everest Interim Camp Trek

For a once-in-a-lifetime experience we can arrange special permits from the Tibet Mountaineering Association to allow access beyond the designated tourist viewing area at Everest Base Camp. The permit allows access beyond the check point, located around 7km from the monastery guesthouse, and the opportunity to trek to the Interim Camp on the East Rongbuk Glacier. From this side of the mountain there are views of Advance Base Camp and the North Col, and there will be expedition teams preparing for their attempts in the climbing season. A good level of fitness, and experience of walking in high altitude, is essential to complete this 5-7 hour trek.
