Discover the world's smallest volcano

Located around 2 hours' south of Manila, Lake Taal is home to the world's smallest volcano, an outcrop set within a lake within a crater...within another volcano! A day trip out the capital starts with a journey through the lakeside towns of Talisay, Agoncillo and San Nicolas until you reach a jetty. Upon arrival board a motorized outrigger boat for the 30 minute crossing to Taal Volcano Island. Trek uphill through the hardened black lava to the rim of the crater from where you will see an apple green lake containing a small moon shaped island. After time to look around and take pictures you will return to Taal Lake's shoreline for lunch overlooking the Taal Volcano.
