Set in 20 hectares of secluded grounds, the ‘rustic' Mango Bay looks out on to 700m of beach facing Vietnam's best ocean sunsets. The 44 rooms and bungalows are constructed from the island's natural materials and consequently are simply furnished, and offer a private semi-outdoor bathroom. Rooms have no air-conditioning - they are cooled instead by cleverly placed fans and plenty of natural air circulation. The hotel facilities include a restaurant & bar near the shoreline and a small shop. The hotel has no swimming pool, but does have a lengthy stretch of private beach perfect for cooling off in the hot weather. Activities can be arranged locally for the more active and those wishing to explore the island. Mango Bay offers an admirable example of low-impact sustainable living without compromising on comfort levels.
