Taroko National Park
Backing onto the Pacific Ocean and covering an area of around 1500 square kilometres in the Northeast of the Island is Taroko National Park. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your visit, with spectacular high mountains, many over 3,000 metres, steep gorges and the rushing white water of the Liwu River, perfect for whitewater rafting. Taroko also offers hiking trails to suit all abilities and levels of fitness and offers some fantastic opportunities for keen photographers.
