The Windermere Estate is a living, breathing cardamom plantation that has converted some of its historic buildings into a bijou residence. The bungalow rooms are a throwback to the old colonial way of life with gabled roofs, high ceilings, red cedar beams, polished floors and teak furniture. Cooled by surrounding mist throughout the day, the rooms are without fans and air-conditioning. The Windermere offers a choice of cuisine at all mealtimes, all of which are taken in the Barn or the Hut. Activities from the estate include plantation visits, local walks, bike rides and bird watching.
