Enjoy three of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cities: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok on board the luxurious Belmond Eastern & Oriental Express. The 2-night 3-day itinerary from Singapore to Bangkok will be punctuated by fine dining, good company, and stunning views. We have bookended this itinerary with short stays in Singapore and Bangkok, using the finest luxury accommodation, in keeping with the fine style found on-board the train. This tour can be reversed to begin in Bangkok and end in Singapore or a shorter itinerary between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur can be arranged.

Flight: BA11 London Heathrow - Singapore 18.50 - 15.55 (overnight)
Private transfer: Upon arrival at Singapore airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in a private chauffeur driven car.
Accommodation: Stay tonight at The Fullerton Hotel (Premier Room)
Days at leisure: You have two full days at leisure to relax and explore the vibrant city of Singapore independently. The extensive public transport system is easy to navigate, and will take you all over the city. Spend some time wandering around the various multicultural neighbourhoods, enjoy the city's world-class shopping outlets, or sample some of the best street-food in Asia.

Private transfer to the railway station: You have most of today at leisure to continue exploring Singapore. In the early evening, you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the railway station to board the Eastern & Oriental Express.
Eastern & Oriental Express: Depart from Singapore and settle into your private cabin as the train rolls through the southern Malaysian countryside. Dinner is served in one of the luxurious dining cars, and afterwards, head to the Bar Car to relax with fellow travellers or retire to your cosy converted cabin.

Eastern & Oriental Express: After breakfast, arrive at Kuala Kangsar. Disembark for a tour of the grand Ubudiah Mosque, the Royal Museum of Perak and the Sultan Shah Gallery. Return to the train and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your leisure as you continue your journey to Thailand. A decadent dinner is served on board this evening.

Eastern & Oriental Express: Alight late morning at the River Kwai Bridge station for a cruise along the picturesque river with a local historian. Afterwards, join a visit to an evocative war museum and optional war cemetery. Return to the train for lunch, before ending your journey in Bangkok in the late afternoon.
Private transfer to your hotel: Upon arrival at Bangkok Railway Station, you will be met by your guide, and transferred to your hotel in a private chauffeur driven car.

Boat ride along the Khlongs to Wat Pho: This morning, set off from your hotel and board a long-tailed boat for the fascinating journey to the old district of Thonburi in the heart of Bangkok to explore a network of canals to see local folk going about their daily lives. Located just across the Chao Praya River from the financial district's towering skyscrapers, these quiet waterways are a magical place that seems a world away from the frenetic pace of the city. Disembark near Wat Pho, the largest temple in Bangkok, where there is an excellent local restaurant for lunch (payable locally). After re-fuelling, head into the temple complex to see the colossal Reclining Buddha and the Chedis of the Kings, and lastly the Grand Palace which is one of the most beautiful examples of ancient Siamese architecture and has been the residence of the Kings of Thailand for over two centuries. Here, you will see palaces which were used for different occasions: the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple. After your guided tour, you may want to continue to the weekend Chatuchak Market, which is one of the largest markets in the world (note that this is only possible on Saturdays and Sundays).

Day at leisure: Today is at leisure in the Thai capital. You could choose to relax at your hotel, or set off to explore some of the sights of Bangkok independently. A trip to a floating market can be arranged or you can simply explore the bustling streets, and sample some of the delicious food on offer.

Private transfer to the airport: At the appropriate time today, you will be collected from your hotel by your guide, and transferred to Bangkok Airport in time for your onward flight.
