COMO Maalifushi
Currently the only resort to be found in the remote Thaa Atoll, COMO Maalifushi offers an understated luxury experience in one of the Maldives’ most untouched areas. The resort is accessed by a 60-minute seaplane ride from Malé Airport. Surrounded by an unspoiled coral reef, and boasting some magnificent opportunities for marine life sightings including whale sharks at certain times of year.
There are 65 villas and suites, spread between the garden, the beach, and the water. All villas feature a private outdoor terrace, luxurious en suite bathrooms, and up-to-date technology. All Beach and Water Villas and Suites come with their own private pool.
The rest offers a choice from three restaurants – the main all-day restaurant Madi, Japanese restaurant Tai, and the laid-back Thila Bar. The resort is proud of its COMO Shambhala Cuisine, which balances health benefits and flavour, and is available at Madi Restaurant. The COMO Shambhala Retreat offers a wide range of wellness and spa treatments. Other leisure facilities include a yoga pavilion, fitness centre, kid’s club, and swimming pool. Our Opinion
Understated luxury in a remote area, highlights here include the spectacular house reef and one of the country’s best spas.
