Jungle Beach Resort

For a relaxing beach break, the Jungle Beach Resort is up there with anything that Sri Lanka can offer. It is located in a 15 acre patch of jungle near to the small coastal town of Kuchchaveli, 27km north of Trincomalee. Although not owned by the resort, there are currently no other buildings that enjoy direct access to this stretch of beach which makes it one of the most secluded and unspoilt spots anywhere on the island. There are 48 chalets in total, some with direct beach access and all offering modern amenities and comforts, including wi-fi and satellite TV. The Beach and Jungle cabins also have indoor and outdoor showers. In the main building there is a fine-dining restaurant and a bar looking out onto the appealing and stylishly designed swimming pool. The upper level, where the reception area is, is up amongst the trees and designed to blend in with the natural surroundings. There is also a spa and the resort can arrange other excursions and activities including snorkelling trips, nature walks, yoga and jet-skiing.
