Gal Oya Lodge is a beautiful wildlife lodge in one of Sri Lanka's least visited national parks. The lodge is very much designed to blend in with its surroundings with the 8 bungalows constructed from natural grasses and wood. There is also a spacious 2 bedroom villa at the highest point of the lodge, perfect for families or friends travelling together. The staff are friendly and attentive and the lodge has a fine team of experienced naturalist guides who will take you out on safari in jeeps and by boat. In between game drives, the guests can relax by the large outdoor swimming pool or talk to some of the local people - the lodges neighbours are indigenous ‘Vedda', a tribe who live off the land in harmony nature. Delicious Sri Lankan meals are served at the on-site restaurant.
