For lovers of tea and luxury, it doesn’t get much better than this. Ceylon Tea Trails is comprised of four separate bungalows, each housing a handful of exquisite rooms and suites. Each bungalow once belonged to a tea planter working on the surrounding estates, and all have been restored to a magnificent standard – with antique colonial furnishings, private gardens, and with their own house manager, butler and chef. The properties are set amongst idyllic rolling hills, with the magnificent Adam’s Peak just a short journey away. Walking or cycling excursions can be taken out amongst the tea plantations, or you can stay on site to play croquet or tennis, or unwind with a dip in the pool, a spa treatment, or a luxury bath. Best of all is the Tea Experience – follow the tea-making process from slope to factory to cup, all in the company of the resident tea planter. A stay at any of the Tea Trails Bungalows is on an all-inclusive basis, with all meals and drinks included throughout the day.
