The Oberoi Beach Resort

The opulent Oberoi Resort is spread out in over 20 acres of tropical gardens leading to a west-facing beachfront with powdery white sand and attractive basalt rock formations. With just 71 luxury Pavilions and Villas, the resort provides ultimate privacy in grounds which have the feeling of a private estate. The Pavilions come with a generous 70 m2 of space, which include private terraces overlooking the Indian Ocean, and the Villas occupy a minimum of 265 m2 which includes sizeable private gardens. With thatched palmed domes and Indonesian carvings the design takes inspiration from Oberoi’s sister properties in Africa and Asia. Fine dining is on offer at The Restaurant, an open-sided building that offers Indian Ocean specialities alongside Asian and European cuisine. For a more casual option On The Rocks is a beachfront restaurant serving an extensive menu of favourites for lunch and dinner with panoramic sea views. The open sided bar serves expertly mixed cocktails and premium drinks accompanied each evening by soothing piano melodies and sunset views over the ocean. An extensive range of leisure facilities include the Oberoi Spa which is considered the best on the island, two swimming pools, a boathouse offering complimentary water sports, floodlit tennis courts, boutique shop and library. The resort also offers a range of immersive experiences which include wine-tasting, yoga, Tai Chi, star gazing and painting classes.
