A good base for exploring the Khammouane Province and Kong Lor Cave, the Sainamhai Resort is a basic lodge with a tranquil location beside a river and within walking distance of a local village. The resort has a collection of 12 simple Lao-style bungalows, with en suite bathrooms and private verandas. The main building houses a bar and restaurant serving mainly Lao cuisine and a few western dishes, and tea and coffee throughout the day.
