The Halekulani Okinawa is one of our favourite resorts on the main island. This large five-star resort blends together touches of Okinawan culture with laid back Hawaiian vibe. It is located on a pretty beach surrounded by tropical palm trees in Onna Village, on the west coast of the main island, around an hour north of the airport. All the well-appointed guest rooms and suites have views out over the emerald green East China Sea. Guests have no less than five different swimming pools to choose from, including an indoor pool and a terrace infinity pool and thre are a choice of four different in-house restaurants as well as some tempting bars. The resort also has free parking, a spa, a kids club and tennis courts.
