Royal Orchid Metropole
The Royal Orchid Metropole was built in 1920 to serve visiting guests of the Maharaja of Mysore. Although its opulence has faded somewhat, it remains the most upmarket and stylish accommodation in town. 30 guest rooms are equipped with a mix of period furniture and modern amenities, and all boast spacious balconies overlooking the pool or gardens. As well as indoor and outdoor restaurants, there is also a bar and airy outside cafe. The Metropole is located around 1km from Mysore station and 13km from the airport, so well positioned for transport links and also just a short distance from many of the highlights of the city.
