Ramathra Fort
Ramathra Fort is a small fort-palace hotel in rural Rajasthan with breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. It is positioned between two of India’s internationally famous wildlife reserves: Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur and Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur. The closest wilderness area, Kailadevi National Park, is just 10 miles away. What distinguishes Ramathra from other fort-palaces is its remoteness. The fort has a strong perimeter wall crowned with parapets, and its ramparts offer spectacular views over the farmlands. Accommodation is provided in a mix of rooms, suites & tents - each offering a private bathroom and modern amenities. The dining room is the main gathering place for eating, drinking and socializing and what were once stables for horses is now a totally renovated commons area for guests. The hotel also lays on a variety of activities that allow guests to explore the surrounding countryside, spot local wildlife, and explore alluring Lake Kalisil.

Our Opinion
This beautifully-restored heritage property opens up a quieter, rural side of Rajasthan while still fitting in nicely between Agra, Jaipur, and Ranthambore National Park.
