Deogarh Mahal is the heart of the village which bears its name. A feudal fort which dates back over 300 years, the Mahal now lives as a 60-room palace hotel. Character is found in every corner: rooms, all unique, have kept many original features, fittings and artwork, and each corridor is lined with local memorabilia. The property sprawls over many levels: stairwells lead up to roof terraces boasting fantastic views, some of which are used for outside dining. There is a small pool in one corner of the palace, while walks can be taken into the bustling surrounding streets.
