While Thiksey camp is situated on the edges of bubbling Leh, Diskit is amongst true nature, pitched on the floor of the stirring Nubra Valley. The camp takes its name from the nearby village of Diskit, commercial hub for the Nubra Valley but still distinctly untouched by modernity or mainstream tourism. The Nubra Valley is much less visited than Leh, and as such the camp here is much smaller, presently housing just eight tents. As with Thiksey, each tent is overly spacious and luxuriously equipped; service and cuisine also remain at the same peerless level. Your stay at the Diskit camp is all about the outstanding views and the remote location. The Himalaya soars on all sides, spilling down to rolling sand dunes and majestic meadows. Treks from the camp are among the best in the Subcontinent, while horse-riding, jeep safaris, and camel safaris also offer deeply memorable ways to explore.
