As the name suggests, Brunton Boatyard is a former 18th century boatyard, which sits proudly on Fort Kochi's western waterfront. Managed by south India’s renowned CGH Earth group, the building was thoroughly restored and opened as a hotel in 1998. All 22 rooms have balconies and are linked by wide, cool corridors and feature an ideal blend of heritage character and modern amenities. Dining can be taken inside or outside; Keralan cuisine is the speciality but north Indian and Continental choices are available. The hotel runs an excellent hour-long sunset boat cruise, which departs from their own private jetty found just in front of the inviting swimming pool.
