Nainital

Nainital is one of the most picturesque towns in northern India. The town was established as a hill station for British colonialists who, upon seeing a small village surrounded by steep forested hills and perched around a deep green central lake, found it to be reminiscent of the Lake District. Its an easy comparison to make and no surprise that in recent decades Nainital has become more well-known as a honeymoon destination for north India's newly-weds, seeking cool climes and charming views.
