Kumbhalgarh
Kumbhalgarh Fortress dominates the surrounding landscape. This breath-taking fort sits on the western edge of the Aravalli Hills, a hilltop citadel which flourished impressively despite its remote location. The Fort is the principal attraction of the area, but with decent accommodation on hand this can also be a fine base for hiking, horse-riding, mountain biking, and jeep safaris. It is also a popular way-station for those travelling between Udaipur (around 80km to the south), and points north such as Jodhpur and Ajmer.
