Jawai refers to an area which encompasses the Jawai Dam (Jawai Bandh), the Jawai River, and surrounding conservation districts. This is an area of supreme natural beauty: rocky hills rise in the distance, leading down to barren but beautiful desert scrub, intersected by watering holes and small streams. The attraction of Jawai is its wildlife: conservation reserves exist here for crocodiles and leopard, but one might also spot panthers, bears, desert wolves, nilgai bulls and chinkara deer, plus numerous exotic bird species. The best way to enjoy Jawai is in a luxury tented camp - taking in the wilderness, whilst enjoying sumptuous food, comfort, and service.
