The Dewachen Hotel is encircled by a pine forest and positioned in the heart of the Phobjikha Valley, close to the Black-necked Crane Observatory. The hotel features 28 rooms decorated with wooden fittings and a modern en-suite bathroom. In winter the rooms are heated by an iron stove with hot water bottles for the beds. The restaurant offers a magnificent view of the valley as well as a mix of Bhutanese and Western dishes. For recreational purposes the hotel has a cocktail bar, horse riding facilities, and cultural excursions available for a fee. There is also the ubiquitous hot stone bath to unwind at the end of the day.
