When to visit - The Seychelles

The best time to visit the Seychelles is from late March through to early May and again from October through to mid-November. During these times the trade winds that otherwise blow over the Seychelles are at their calmest and fine weather prevails. Day time temperatures average around 30°C and without the wind it can seem pretty warm at these times of year.

Aside from the best months above, the period from mid-May through to the end of September is also a good time to visit the Seychelles with little rainfall and pleasant average daily temperatures between 24°C – 28°C. This period brings drier, cooler weather, and stronger winds that bring livelier seas - particularly on the south-eastern coast of each island. Prolonged dry spells are common, but with a tropical climate comes the odd tropical downpour.

Late November through to February is the green season in the Seychelles with most rainfall falling in December and January. Generally speaking conditions at this time of year tend to be humid with showers arriving mostly in the early afternoon, and occasional periods of prolonged rain. Although it can be wet at this time of year you can also expect decent sunny spells and of course warm temperatures, so travel is still very much an option if you come prepared.
