The 137 Pillars House is an impressive colonial style hotel with 30 luxurious suites and a great central location in the heart of Chiang Mai. The hotel was originally built in 1889 and has been restored to its former glory so guests are transported back to a time when the East Borneo Trading Company held a powerful position in South East Asia. The suites themselves are all named after founders of this company. Facilities include 2 high class restaurants, a spa and a cigar bar. There is also a large outdoor swimming pool set in beautifully maintained gardens.
