The sumptuous The Bay is located directly on the golden sand beaches of Passekudah and is one of the most luxurious resorts you will find anywhere on east coast of the island. Opened in late 2012, the resort has 48 spacious units split into 2 wings with an infinity pool leading out onto the beach. Each studio is tastefully decorated in a Sri Lankan style with a wooden finish and contains all the required modern amenities, including Flat screen TV, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. There is a breezy bar, next to the reception, a high class restaurant serving fine international and local dishes and a spa and fitness centre. The hotel bicycles can be used free of charge to explore the local Passekudah and Kalkudah area, if you ask at reception they can print out a map of the local area with a suggested cycling route for you.
