Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort
The Grand Uda Walawe Safari Resort is a great base from which to explore the nearby Uda Walawe National Park. It is not small - there are 79 rooms in Deluxe, Superior, and Suite categories - but the service is highly rated. Most rooms have a small balcony or terrace, and all come equipped with air-con, cable TV, IDD telephones, free wifi, and 24 hour room service. There is a large swimming pool area, games room, fitness centre, and a traditional sunken ‘Wala’ (amphitheatre) for cultural performances. Our Opinion
A large and comfortable base with a good selection of facilities. Right next to Uda Walawe National Park, but an easy drive from Yala too for those who wish to see the wildlife in both parks without moving hotels.
