Fujiya Ryokan
The Fujiya is a very famous ryokan featured in many Japanese and international guidebooks. It’s one of the largest ryokan in Kawayu Onsen, located opposite Senninburo, the natural hot spring bath carved from the river bed in winter. In summer you can dig your own onsen from the riverbed and ryokan staff will provide a shovel, sandals and bathing suit if necessary! The ryokan also has its own indoor and outdoor hot spring baths. Inside the Fujiya the décor is traditional Japanese with ikebana and art displays. All the guestrooms have a view of the Oto River which flows though the village. Kaiseki dinners feature seasonal Japanese cuisine served in your guestroom. Breakfast and dinner are included in your stay.
