The Danum Valley Field Centre provides basic accommodation that is primarily used for researchers and scientists who visit the area to study the flora and fauna. However, it also has some limited space and accepts bookings for other travellers. The centre has hostel style dorms with multiple bunk beds and some private rooms and chalets with their own hot water private bathrooms. Tourist visitor numbers are limited and you should expect fairly basic facilities along with simple meals, which are included in the on-site dining hall. Please note that there is no electricity at the field centre after 11pm at night.
