What to pack

It is much easier to travel with lightweight luggage. We therefore suggest that you pack lightly taking casual clothes for the most part. A comfortable pair of walking shoes is a necessity. Take a few shirts, sweaters and a jacket (depending on the season and part of the country) that can be worn in layers if you are travelling in a variety of regions. Light clothing made from natural fibres is useful most of the year around and a raincoat is needed when travelling to South Korea in the rainier months of June

and July. If you are travelling between November and February please note that winters can be very harsh indeed, and we recommend packing a full set of hat, gloves, scarf, and thick winter coat. When packing accessories take only the items that you will really use. Bear in mind that there will be opportunities to buy clothes etc when you are in South Korea, although you may prefer to take along your favourite brands.
