Thailand Passport & Visa Information

Back to all travel tips

What passport and visa do I need to visit Thailand?

Passports
It is a requirement of the Thai Government that British visitors to Thailand possess a valid 10 year passport and that the passport has at least six months validity from after you arrive in Thailand. You will also require at least one blank page in your passport. Please check that your passport complies with the above well in advance of travel. If you do not have a British passport please contact the Thai Embassy to see what regulations do apply.

Visas
British passport holders can visit Thailand for a period of up to 60 days for tourism purposes without needing to get a visa in advance.
For longer stays or multiple-entry visas you will need to apply for your visa before you travel. For further information please visit the Thai Embassy website. Or contact the Thai Embassy in London:

Royal Thai Embassy (Consular Section)
29-30 Queen’s Gate, London SW7 5JB
