Penghu Archipelago

This Archipelago nestled between Taiwan and mainland China has become famous for its fantastic diving, beautiful beaches and hot summer weather. The flat landscape makes quite a contrast to the mountainous terrain of the main island and in the winter months Penghu is a popular centre for windsurfers. The Penghu Islands can be reached either by a short flight into Makung, the principle town, or by ferry from Kaohsiung.
