Habarana

The small town of Habarana, in the heart of the ‘Cultural Triangle', provides a convenient base from which to explore the nearby ancient cities of Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, the hills of Mihintale, the famous Sigiriya Rock and the Dambulla Cave Temples. It is also on the doorstep of Minneriya National Park, Kaudulla National Park and the Hurulu Eco Park which provide some of Sri Lanka's most rewarding safari experiences. Due to its location, Habarana now has a selection of good hotels and other local activities for the visitor can be arranged such as a visit to the small farming settlement of Hiriwadunna, travelling by bullock cart and catamaran across a lotus clad lake.
