True North
The True North is a comfortable and stylish adventure cruise vessel designed with its passengers in mind. There are 18 spacious cabins, on 3 decks, each with an en-suite bathroom, in-cabin entertainment and a satellite telephone. The high crew to guest ratio (22:36) enables the True North to offer a very personal service and the ship enjoy a fine reputation for its dining. On board passengers can take advantage of the sundeck, a forward observation lounge, a ship’s lounge and an alfresco bar. The ship’s naturalist gives presentations on wall mounted screens in the ship’s lounge and an internet café enables convenient communication with the outside world.
Due to the ships shallow draft (it only draws 2.5 metres) the True North can venture to places where bigger ships can’t. This means the ship can place an emphasis on exploration in its itineraries and this is carried out by the 6 adventure boats which take small groups to remote parts. The luxury of having so many small boats means that if someone wants to go fishing, not everybody has to go fishing, and different activities can be offered at the same time. And, the True North is also the only adventure-cruise ship in the southern hemisphere that carries a full-time helicopter – adding another dimension to your adventure!
