Oman Passport & Visa Information:

What passport and visa do I need to visit Oman?

Passports
It is a requirement of the Omani Government that British visitors to Oman possess a valid 10 year passport and that the passport has at least six months validity left after your return from holiday. Please check that your passport complies with this decree well in advance of travel.

Visas for Oman
The Omani Government requires British passport holders to have a visa for entry into Oman and you can obtain this by visiting their ‘Online Visa Services' website before you travel and following the online instructions prior to your holiday: evisa.rop.gov.om. You may like to watch this instruction video on YouTube before you commence the application.

You will need to refer to your passport and have a credit card to hand when completing the online form. The charge is OMR 20 (around £40 or US$55) per person for the evisa processing. Once complete, you will then receive an email confirming the evisa has been granted and you should have this email ready to show them at customs. It is advisable to print this email out so you have a hard copy in case you have issues with accessing the email on arrival.
