Guiyang - Guizhou Province

Surrounded by forest, the city of Guiyang has a few decent temples and some tranquil parks beside the river to enjoy. Nearby there are the picturesque Huangguoshu falls and dramatic Longgong Caves to admire, as well as other famous scenic spots such as Hongfeng Lake, Zhijin Cave Scenic Spot and Qingyan Ancient Town. The city is famous for the number of festivals that take place throughout the year mainly due to the indigenous minority groups that live in and around the city. As a result Guiyang is a good base from which to explore the minority culture that Guizhou province has to offer.
