Jianshui - Yunnan Province

Located a few hours south of Kunming, Jianshui has a charming ancient town, and is home to some well-preserved Ming & Qing Dynasty architecture. Some of the most famous sights include the Confucius Temple, the sprawling Qing-era Zhu Family Courtyard, and the Double Dragon Bridge. A convenient overnight stop on the way to the spectacular Yuanyang Rice Terraces, Jianshui is well worth taking the time to explore in its own right.
