Street food tours by tuk tuk

The auto rickshaw, or tuk-tuk, is ubiquitous throughout Asia and this common form of urban transport is being re-purposed to give travellers a taste of the local food scene.

In China we offer tuk-tuk tours of Chengdu's street food to sample spicy noodles and Sichuan stuffed pancake; and in Xi' an to try the more hearty northern Chinese fare such as homemade dumplings and meat skewers.

Similar jaunts are available in Southeast Asia, zipping from restaurant to restaurant in a private tuk-tuk to get a flavour of the local cuisine in Phnom PenhSiem Reap and Vientiane. Due to the popularity of mopeds in Vietnam, Saigon's night scene is best explored on the back of a chauffeur-driven Vespa.
