Palagama Beach Resort

One of a cluster of small eco-resorts on Alankuda Beach on the relatively undiscovered Kalpitiya Peninsula on the West Coast of the Island. The Palagama Beach Resort has 14 wooden cabanas, all made from natural materials. Guests can spend their days staring out into the Indian Ocean on the beach or by the pool, take up cycling, diving, or fishing trips, or arrange for whale and dolphin watching excursions. Pre-booked kite-surfing instruction is also possible. The resort also has 3 villas which offer more conventional lodging and are ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together. The resort was designed by the architect behind the famous ‘Orbit' structure seen at the 2012 London Olympics, and gives a great example of how to combine local materials and techniques whilst maintaining comfort and style.

A Stylish eco-resort in one of the most peaceful places in Sri Lanka. The perfect place to stay a few days at the end of a busy tour.
