Busuanga is the largest in the Calamian group of islands that lie at the north of Palawan and is the gateway to a number of island retreats, cheif among them the paradisiacal idyll of Coron, as well as private island retreats such as Club Paradise and Sangat Island. It also renowned for its great wreck diving. There are as many as 10 major wreck diving sites, with vessels sunk by the US forces during the Second World War, in the vicinity. Busuanga can be reached by a short flight from Manila and is a great destination for divers and sun-seekers alike.
